It really varies. I love seeing a student fall in love with a book I love, but I also love the look of accomplishment when they solve a math problem that they were struggling and then say, "Oh! Reading is definitely my favorite too. I started out terrified to teach reading in my primary classroom. I had done the majority of my college work in upper elementary and my real comfort zone was math. I went to a Timothy Rasinski conference for struggling readers and got so much wonderful information that I became hooked. I learned, I researched, I tried new things.
